Contact us
We are on Fuyacho Street in Nakagyo ward, about a four-minute walk from Karasuma-Oike Station. The shopfront is narrow and easy to miss. Look for the chalkboard with the week's Brix readings.
The notebook and the till
Most of what we record is about fruit, not people. Customer information appears in two places only: a bottle order with a name on it, and the mailing list for people who want to know what is being pressed that week.
Allergies and ingredients
Every juice on the board has its full ingredient list printed. If you have an allergy, tell us before ordering — we press to order and can adjust — but we work in a small space with shared equipment and cannot promise isolation.
Farm relationships
We name our growers on the menu with their permission. Pricing agreed with each farm is confidential to that farm. We do not publish what we pay, and we do not share one grower's terms with another.
No tracking
This site carries no advertising or cross-site tracking. Aggregate page counts tell us which recipes people read; they do not identify readers.
Retention
Order records follow the statutory bookkeeping period. The mailing list is kept until you unsubscribe. Email hello@claycrestzone.com to see or remove anything we hold.
Children
Juice is sold to whoever wants it, but the mailing list and bottle orders are adult transactions. We do not knowingly keep records on under-fifteens.
Who runs the bar
Clay Crest Zone, 〒606-0864 Kyoto, Kyoto City, Sakyo Ward, Shimogamo Takagicho, 39. Telephone +81 75-781-2009, email hello@claycrestzone.com. One person is responsible for how information is handled here, and that person answers this address.
Complaints
If a bottle was wrong or the counter was chaotic, tell whoever is pressing — it is a small enough place that it gets fixed. Otherwise write to the address above and you will get a reply within two weeks. You may also raise a matter with the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan.
Changes to this policy
This page is revised when the way we handle orders or the mailing list changes. The revision date is printed below so you can see whether anything moved since you last read it. Last revised 27 July 2026.
Suggestions from customers
People suggest blends, and we take those seriously enough to test some of them. If a suggestion makes the menu we credit the person on the tag — with their permission and under whatever name they prefer.
A suggestion that does not make it leaves no record beyond the tasting note, which names the blend rather than the person who proposed it.
